I was in the process of preparing a St Kilda calendar for 2021,
when, like for everyone else, lockdown changed my plans. Early in the year I had carried out a fair amount of preparation work for the new calendar. I fancied a change of layout, so redesigned it and also researched different printing firms as I was looking for more options.
It seemed a shame not to make use of this work, so in the autumn I decided to go ahead with a small print run to check the layout and the print firm I had chosen. The calendar is printed on 200gsm silk paper. It has 14 pages, the back page being a map showing the location of each painting as it takes you on a tour in an anticlockwise direction around the island. I think the printer has made a beautiful job of the calendar.
